We are WebMonster
We believe there's a right way to host and look after websites.
For us, that means paying attention to the details, being honest about what you get and helping you put things right when something goes wrong.

Hi, I’m Santiago
I founded WebMonster to build the hosting company I'd want to use myself: reliable and honest, with someone who takes your problems seriously.
I personally run WebMonster, make the technical decisions and look after our relationships with customers. That lets me get to know the websites we host and pay attention to the details that, for me, make a service exceptional.

Our manifesto
Some things have become normal in hosting that shouldn’t be: overcrowded servers, performance cut to improve margins, catches buried in the terms and lock-in periods, extras you don’t need, essentials that aren’t included… and renewal prices ten times higher than the original deal.
At WebMonster, it’s the other way round: our longest-standing customers pay the least. There are no catches in the small print or empty promises. And we treat technical support as the most important part of the service, not an expense.
We want you to know exactly what you're signing up for and what to expect. To know your website is being looked after, and that when something goes wrong, there's someone on the other end who'll help put it right. Above all, we want things to work as they should.
WebMonster is a small, independent company. That shapes how we work: without the pressure to grow at any cost, we can make better decisions, focus on the service and grow without chasing numbers for their own sake.
At WebMonster, we host and look after websites the way we believe it should be done. With more attention to detail, more honesty (and a purple monster keeping an eye on everything).

Our principles

We care about our customers
We want to build lasting relationships with our customers. That’s why we design genuinely useful services, recommend what we believe is right for each website and make decisions with the long term in mind.
A quality service
We offer reliable, straightforward hosting from approachable people who are clear about what you get. We combine stable, properly resourced infrastructure with specialist WordPress support, so your website works as it should and help is there when you need it.
No catches. No tricks.
No lock-in periods, complicated pricing plans, small print or prices that jump tenfold when you renew. Your hosting renews at the same price, with no surprises. And cancelling is even easier than signing up. As it should be.
We include what your website needs (even the things you might not know about)
What do you look at when choosing hosting? Storage space and the number of websites are easy to compare, but they don’t tell the whole story. A plan can advertise huge figures, then limit the memory, processing power or number of files your website can use.
It can also look very cheap until you discover that backups, protection or important tools cost extra — or were only free for the first year. That’s why we build our plans around the resources and features a website actually needs, included from the start, with the limits clearly explained.
We own our mistakes and learn from them
We're human, and we can get things wrong. When we do, we acknowledge it, put it right and look for ways to stop it happening again. We also explain clearly what happened and what we've done about it. Trust isn't about pretending nothing ever goes wrong. It's about how you handle it when it does.

We care about people
We want our work to have a positive impact on the people who work with WebMonster, collaborate with us, use our services or are part of our wider community.
We look after our team
We want our relationships with employees, freelancers and collaborators to be built on respect, trust and mutual benefit. We believe in fair pay, clear commitments and working conditions that make good work possible.
We share what we know
We aim to explain technology clearly, help our customers make better decisions and share useful knowledge about WordPress, hosting and building an online presence.
We work with local organisations
We work with local organisations to train entrepreneurs and small businesses in IT, building an online presence, web design and WordPress.
Suppliers and partners
When choosing suppliers and partners, we also consider how they work and their social and environmental commitments. There isn’t always a perfect option, but we can make more informed decisions and ask for the information we need to choose well.

We care about the environment
Hosting has a physical footprint too. Every website depends on data centres, networks, electricity and equipment that has to be manufactured, maintained and replaced. As a hosting company, we have a responsibility to understand that impact and reduce it where we can.
Renewable energy
At WebMonster, we’re committed to renewable energy. Almost all our infrastructure already runs on renewable energy, and we’re working towards making that 100%.
Our carbon footprint
We want to contribute to change by helping to offset the emissions from our work, which is why we calculate our carbon footprint. We’re gradually moving our infrastructure to data centres powered by electricity from 100% renewable sources, and we’re in the process of offsetting our emissions.

No small print
The drawbacks. In big print.
We're not for everyone, and that's fine. Here we explain the limits of our services and what we don't include, so you know what to expect. This isn't a marketing trick. We'd genuinely like to see more companies do the same.
